Day 1 - 19th June 2016 

Welcome to our holiday blog. We have put this together to keep everyone up to date with our travels, share our pics and make you all jealous (hahaha). 

Firstly, a big thank you to our house sitters Tom and Naomi who are looking after our fur baby and house. Another thank you to those who dropped in to say farewell and to Carla for our farewell Creme Brulee.... absolutely A-MAZE-ING!

So day one was quite uneventful. We left home around 10am after a very emotional departure from me. Lots of tears and chasing the cranky cat (because we're leaving) around the house for one last cuddle. It was a long trip with Phil driving the entire way, a whole 8 hours, with only two quick stops to give the legs a stretch. Our first stop is Hay where we opted for a motel for the night and thankfully so as it rained every minute of our drive. And yep, it stopped raining as soon as we got into our room. However, everything is extremely wet and muddy around here which would not have been great for the new camper and the first night!

Bye for now, tomorrow we are off to Broken Hill. We hope to have a bit more information to offer and some photos for you too.
